Kaitlyn Anne Vincie
Kaitlyn Ann Vicie was born December 10, 1987 and is an American journalist. She works for the Fox NASCAR team as a reporter and presents in their daily news and update show NASCAR Race Hub. Vincie's love for stock car racing started when she was issued the pit lane permit following graduation from Christopher Newport University, she worked as a journalist at Langley Speedway. Vincie's own NASCAR video blogs were made available on SceneDaily the stock car racing site. Vincie was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia on December 10 the 10th of December, 1987. Her family relocated to Warrenton following the time Vincie was accepted into high school. She is the daughter of John Vincie and Margaret and has one older sister. Vincie's maternal grandmother Eleanor N. Logan was an educator for the fifth grade when her grandfather was on faculty at Bridgewater College. At an early age, she displayed an interest in journalism. Vincie completed her studies at Fauquier High School in 2006. She competed in track and field events and worked as a manager for the school's wrestling team for four years. She was victorious in the 800m event at the AAA Cedar Run District. Vincie met Al Pearce, a journalist who was a mentor and gave Vincie lots of advice. In 2010, Vincie graduated from Christopher Newport University with a bachelor's in communications. Vincie worked as an intern for the department's athletics department at the university. Vincie also held a similar position at the USAR Pro Cup Series, Charlotte Motor Speedway. Vincie wrote a senior thesis on gender inequality in auto racing which focused on female race car driver Danica Patrick, and became attracted to the sport when she was granted a pit lane ticket for the NASCAR All-Star Race. She names Krista Voda as well as Wendy Venturini as her inspirations.
