Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
who was previously TV correspondent for ABC News. She is well-known for her
time as cohost of Good Morning America Weekend, between 2014 and 2018, as well
as hosting of The View, 2015-2018. She was previously co-anchor of America This
Morning and World News Now. After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Because of limited TV opportunities she worked
in sales for radio. Her next job was one year as a production assistant at
WKEF/WRGT and later occasionally anchor and report. She was the anchor for
weekends at WCPO TV in Cincinnati, and the anchor for weekdays for WCPO TV in
Cincinnati between 2002 and 2005. After her contract expired in 2005, she was a
anchor and sports reporter for the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in Chicago from
November 2005 to December 2011. In December 2011 she was recruited by ABC News
which is the division for news of ABC. On January 2, 2012 she debuted on the
ABC network's World News Now and America This Morning. At times, she appeared
as a fill-in on Good Morning America as well as the correspondent. In the
following years she was made a New York-based correspondent for every ABC News
programs. The last episode of World News Now and America This Morning was
broadcast on January 22nd 2013. Following the time that Bianna Golodryga quit
for Yahoo!, her debut as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend was on
August 9, 2014. News. News. The contract was renewed by ABC for the 20th season
on the 3rd of August. Season 21 also saw her renewed as co-host. In the 22nd
and 21st seasons she mostly appeared during the show's Friday shows.
