Pollyanna McIntosh
Pollyanna McIntosh was born in Portugal
and Colombia She was born in Colombia and Portugal, but she later moved to
Scotland and began to perform on stage at The Edinburgh Festival. When she was
16, she left for London and soon became involved in indie filmmaking (her first
pay-per-view was as a stoner in Irvine Welsh's The Acid House (1998)) and
theatre, both as an actress and director. In 2004, she relocated to Los Angeles
to direct "The Woolgatherer" an original play which Anne Dudek (a regular
guest on Mad Men (2007)/Big Love (2006)) was the director. The play was praised
by critics. She was then offered her first US movie role as the manipulative,
born-again Christian, "Stacy", in Headspace (2005). Her first film
appearance was in the film Headspace (2005) as the manipulative born-again
Christian "Thumper Wint". This comedy was written by Heathers (1988).
Exam (2009) The film, which was shot in London and LA and was her subsequent
film. It was nominated for Outstanding British Debut by the BAFTA and was
awarded the Santa Barbara Film Fest's Best Independent Award. The reviewers
praised Pollyanna's capacity to "emotionally vulnerability" her
fierce, ambitious character. GQ only stated that Pollyanna McIntosh is a
beautiful actor and "extraordinarily talented actor". Como Quien No
Quiere La Cosa (2013) (As if you Don't Like it! She plays Trevor Lock, a
disgruntled Brit comedian. She speaks Spanish throughout the film, that was
made in Peru. John Landis directed Burke and Hare (2010). She portrays Isla Fisher's
bestie with Andy Serkis and Jessica Hynes, Tom Wilkinson, Tim Curry, and Tom
Wilkinson. Lucky McKee's The Woman (2011) was an enormous success. It received
rave reviews and even topped the New York Times readers' favorite movies poll.
She was honored with three Best Actress Awards, including Total Film's
Frightfest Award, and Fright Meter's.
